Meet Our Veterinary Nurses
Katie Brett Head Nurse

Katie came to Forest House as a Student Veterinary Nurse in 1998. She completed her training and qualified in 2000. Katie has always lived locally and is proud to work at the hospital feeling that Forest House is part of her life. She is married to Will and has a daughter Isabelle and owns two cats named Stella and Missy. In her spare time Katie enjoys swimming, walking, cycling and spending time with family.
Debbie Cable Deputy Head Nurse

Debbie qualified as a Vet Nurse in South Africa in 1991. After working in a variety of practices, including equine and small animal, Debbie joined Forest House in 2002, and is now Deputy Head Nurse. She has special interests in our Fit and Trim Club and Puppy Parties. Debbie was married to Robin in South Africa in March 2006 and has a daughter Millie. Debbie is a talented runner and has completed three marathons including the London Marathon.
Lynsey Chorley Veterinary Nurse

Lynsey joined Forest House in 2000 and has completed all of her veterinary nursing training here, qualifying in 2004. Her area of special interest is puppy progress. Away from work Lynsey enjoys shopping, cycling, walking and socialising with family. She lives in Bracknell with husband Mark, dogs Harry and Maddie, as well as several guinea pigs!
Elaine Rowlands Veterinary Nurse

Elaine qualified in 2007 and after a year decided to spread her wings and go travelling for a few months. When she returned she became a locum nurse and her first position was here at Forest House in June 2009. Elaine settled in so well she joined the team permanently in January 2010. Elaine doesn’t have any of her own pets at the moment but would love a puppy one day. In the meantime she loves to look after everyone else’s pets while they are here.
Lisa Porter Veterinary Nurse

Lisa joined the team at Forest House in 2006 and completed her training in 2009. She was born in Scotland and spent some of her childhood in Cyprus. She has a keen interest in canine behaviour and socialisation and is the proud owner of five canine companions and two cats! In her spare time, Lisa enjoys writing poetry and short novels one of which has been published. One day, when time permits she would like to write a full length novel.
Ellie Giles Student Veterinary Nurse

Ellie joined Forest House in July 2009, after studying animal management at college for two years. Before starting work she travelled to Africa to work as a volunteer rehabilitating injured wildlife which is something she would like to do again the future. Outside of work Ellie enjoys horse riding, socialising with friends and travelling abroad and looking after her Pomeranian cross Rodney and her three cats Boyce, Marley and Rackie.
Claire Metters Student Veterinary Nurse

Claire joined Forest House in July 2010 after completing her Animal Management National Diploma at college. Claire loves animals and has always wanted to be a veterinary nurse so is excited about working towards this qualification. Claire lives at home with her cat, a tortoise and some chickens!
Nikki Croxon Student Veterinary Nurse

Nikki has been interested in working with animals since she was very young and after doing as much work experience as she could whilst at school she joined Fitzpatrick referrals as a kennel nurse. Her real aim was to become a veterinary nurse and she started at Forest House in April 2011 when a student nurse opportunity became available. She is looking forward to carrying out her training at Forest House.
